About EVOLVEwithK

My story

Throughout my adulthood, I’ve always been the ‘odd one out’ out of my group of friends for being the only girl to be interested in gyms workouts, healthy diet and fitness in general. Being “an ambitious and strong-minded girl” as my father use to put it, I realised that I wasn’t just content with looking after myself but wanted to positively influence others too in making the right choices about their eating habits and lifestyle. After all, we only ever get one body to help us go the distance!

My mission

My mission is to help people reach their maximum potential; a healthy body means a healthy mind – a code I live by. I am an active individual who likes to inspire people to be a better version of them.
I want to start a new movement, inspire a generation and generate understanding for this kind of lifestyle.
I plan to share the love and passion I have for physical activity and eating delicious yet easily made meals. I aim to provide customized SOLUTIONS to each individual on programs such as weight loss and toning along with delicious recipes to aid towards their personal goals, all is currently found on my site.

It is becoming ridiculous how little diverse the fitness industry is;
Women of colour are less represented and women of faith are not represented at all.
As I was flicking through one of the known women’s fitness magazines, I was really hoping to see a representation of a woman like me. However, I was bombarded with similar repetitive images over and over again of take a guess… Blonde, tall and slim women.

Similarly, every time I have attended a fitness event of any kind, the panel itself was a group of blonde and slim omen.

I mean, how long are we going to keep letting this happen without highlight the issue and what kind of message does this send out to our kids. We deserve to see ourselves in the very publications we indulge in.

It is my/our right to be represented and my/our right to see a version of us up there.

“We are stronger together and weaker divided.” A clichéd quote it may be but is relevant to this date. There is so much wrong in the world we live in today and all it requires is a bit of unity. To be able to see a person beyond their physical appearance and the differences but rather accept them for whom they are and what positive they bring to our society… to our world. My aim is to bring strength into people (physical and psychological), promote love and peace, fights racism, sexism and Islamophobia; and all through a means, which I hold dearly to me – fitness!

As a Muslim woman, I try my best to follow my faith and my faith obliges me to give back and help people in need. This initiative itself is going to encourage those minorities to become more active and have a closer look into their lifestyle
however, let us not forget that there are people out there who don’t have a food, clean water, some don’t even have a country to go back to.

Therefore 10% of proceeds from the tops and hoodies purchased are going to charity.
Your money is going to be used to make a positive difference in the lives of those who desperately need it; so please donate and help promote the camping by sharing it with your family, friends and on social media. Help us raise more
money and make a difference – be the change that you hope to see in this world.
I’ll leave you with a couple of quotes that inspire me greatly and I hope it has a similar effect on you:
“What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.”
(Albert Pikel)
“If you have much, give of your wealth; if you have little, give of your heart.”
Arabian Proverb

“I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I
will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.”
(Edward Everett Hale)
